About Fundraising at AV:
The goal of fundraising at AV is to generate new retail investors (customers) for our dozens of venture capital funds. Our digitally-led marketing strategy is a mix of B2C and B2B disciplines, including paid and organic social, paid search, media partnerships, lead generation, landing pages, email marketing, lead nurture, and more.
Position Overview:
This role reports directly to Luke Antal D’07, who is a Co-Founder at AV. Luke oversees all aspects of fundraising at the firm. This Intern will work directly with me on all aspects of our fundraising engine, and have wide exposure to mission critical strategies and tactics.
I am looking for someone who has deep experience with AI tools. Our firm has been AI-first since late 2022 and I personally have a deep understanding of the tech. I am looking for someone who knows more than me, or has creative use cases that I haven’t thought of yet. This is a requirement for the position.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Communicate with potential media partners to setup our Executives and Investment Team members with speaking opportunities
- Assist with various projects related to our website and social media presence
- Carry out client-facing communications designed to book sales calls
- Use AI to analyze marketing datasets, coming up with insights and recommendations
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of fundraising materials, including pitch decks, investor memos, and due diligence documentation
- Conduct market and investor research to identify and profile prospective limited partners
- Help maintain and update CRM systems and fundraising trackers
- Draft and proofread investor communications and updates
- Support logistics and coordination for LP meetings, roadshows, and events
- Analyze fundraising data and create reports for internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with investment, legal, and finance teams to ensure fundraising alignment
Qualifications:
- Current college or university student
- Strong experience with entrepreneurship
- Strong personal or professional experience with AI tools
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with tools like Affinity, Carta, or Salesforce is a plus
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
- Interest in venture capital, private equity, or fundraising
