We have an immediate need for an Accounting Manager level finance professional to join a best-in-class consulting firm. The Accounting Manager / Accounting Consultant will provide industry expertise to a wide ranging client base within the manufacturing, construction and services industries.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of corporate accounting experience with exposure to the General Ledger, AP, AR, Payroll, Audit and Payroll functions. Experience with Cost Accounting or WIP reporting is strongly desired, but not mandatory. The Accounting Manager / Accounting Consultant will partner with senior management in multiple client locations in a very hands-on capacity.
The Accounting Consultant should have prior experience with the monthly close process, cost accounting, inventory reporting, P& L generation, KPI reporting and all levels of the budgeting process.
An accounting degree is needed at minimum with strong desire for a CPA.
This is a client facing position and will require a strong communication skillset.
Large corporate experience is ideal, in addition to large ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Oracle and Sage. ERP implementation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage a team of five accounting specialists, including permanent billers, a senior accountant, and part-time accounts payable and receivable clerks.
• Oversee and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and support audit processes, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and variance reports to guide financial decision-making.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to manage and analyze complex financial data.
• Implement and maintain accounting entries while ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Manage asset and equipment inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
• Collaborate with leadership to provide insights and recommendations on financial operations and strategies.
• Ensure the proper operation and tracking of manufacturing equipment within the financial framework.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA is desired.
• At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles managing finance teams.
• Proven experience within service industries such as legal services, consulting, engineering, or architecture, with a focus on attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively, fostering collaboration and productivity.
• Expertise in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, as well as financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to work with complex datasets.
• Familiarity with tools such as Dealer Track and inventory management systems.
