We are looking for a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper to join our client in Attleboro, Massachusetts. This role involves managing essential accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and a keen eye for detail.


Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable invoices, manage payments, and perform vendor reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to billing, payments, and accounts.

• Oversee accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and recording cash applications.

• Reconcile bank accounts, as well as customer and vendor statements, to maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly meals and sales tax filings in compliance with regulations.

• Collect and manage W-9 forms from applicable vendors while maintaining the Sage 300 accounting system.

• Compile vendor information for annual reporting requirements.

• Maintain thorough and organized documentation of accounting records.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting.

• Provide necessary documentation to support audits and ensure compliance

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting support.
• Proficiency in accounting software, with Sage 300 strongly preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including experience with formulas and data analysis.
• Familiarity with preparing or supporting tax filings, particularly meals and sales tax reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in financial records.
• Expertise in bookkeeping functions such as reconciliations and vendor management.
• Knowledge of IRS W-9 forms and their application in vendor records.
