Provide a summary of the job’s primary function:
Oversees financial operations within a university department, managing budgets, ensuring compliance, and providing financial guidance to leadership. This role involves financial planning, process improvement, and collaboration with university finance teams.
1. Minimum Qualifications
Skills required include financial, analytical, written and verbal communication, organizational, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently, prioritize and use sound judgment and discretion to make decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products as well as enterprise financial systems. Ability and willingness ability to learn computer systems and databases. Knowledge and skills normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. Experience working in higher education is a plus.
