Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time special education teaching role is available for a full semester at an elementary school located in Cambridge, MA. The position offers an opportunity to work onsite with a caseload of 14-15 inclusion students, supporting their academic and developmental needs within an inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instructional methods as necessary.
  • Communicate regularly with families and school staff to promote student success.
  • Attend required meetings and professional development sessions.
  • Maintain compliance with state regulations and school policies.

Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts special education teaching license or certification.
  • Experience working in school-based settings with special education students.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of 14-15 inclusion students effectively.
  • Spanish language skills are preferred but not required.
  • Completion of CORI check and fingerprinting as required by state law (may use letter of suitability from prior employer).
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 3:30 PM.

Additional Details:

  • Job type: Full-time, contract position.
  • Hours per week: 32.5.
  • Start date: ASAP.
  • Tentative end date: Spring 2026 or June 30th.
  • Onsite role at an elementary school in Cambridge, MA.
  • Interviews conducted via Zoom.
