Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for experienced Special Education Teachers to support students in a K-12 school setting focusing on moderate special education needs. These are contract positions covering leaves, providing valuable teaching experience in a supportive academic environment.
Locations and Assignments:
- Two full-time Special Education Teacher positions at the high school level (grades 9-12), each with a schedule from 7:30 AM to 2:10 PM, contract through June 2026.
- One full-time Special Education Teacher position at the middle school level (grades 6-8), schedule from 7:50 AM to 2:40 PM, contract through March 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction tailored to students with moderate special education needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adapt strategies to meet diverse learning requirements.
- Maintain a supportive and engaging classroom environment.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives that promote inclusivity and academic achievement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification with a moderate license.
- Proven experience teaching at the secondary level (middle or high school).
- Strong knowledge of best practices in special education.
- Ability to use assessment data to guide instructional planning.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Location:Positions are based in Boston, MA, within a K-12 public school district serving diverse student populations.
