Job Details
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead multiple active projects across various civil construction scopes
- Prepare and submit competitive bids across all trade disciplines
- Evaluate, price, and track all change orders
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure accurate field execution
- Lead and participate in all project meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Maintain responsibility for all submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
- Oversee and support monthly requisitions and coordinate with accounting for invoice approvals
- Monitor job progress and ensure all projects remain on schedule and within scope
- Review and update project schedules monthly in coordination with the field team
- Collaborate with the safety department to ensure site compliance with internal and external safety standards
- Perform job costing and track financial health of each project
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of field experience in civil construction project management
- Strong knowledge of sitework, excavation, utilities, and roadway construction
- Proven experience managing subcontractors, schedules, job costing, and change order processes
- Ability to lead meetings, interpret drawings, and manage multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and construction documentation systems
Nice to Haves
- Experience in urban infrastructure projects or tight-site conditions
- Previous work with public sector projects and documentation standards
- Familiarity with Sage 300, Timberline, or similar project cost management software
- OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certifications
