Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school in Springfield, MA is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a contract position during the upcoming school year. This role offers the opportunity to support student development and well-being in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
- Provide counseling and support for social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to address student needs and progress.
- Assist with crisis intervention and develop preventative programs to promote positive school climate.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment techniques, and counseling methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism.
