Summary

We are seeking a Senior Chemical Process Engineer with experience in process development, design, and construction of industrial facilities. This role will lead engineering efforts for complex process-facility projects, including new plant design, facility upgrades, and rehabilitation of high-hazard environments. The Senior Engineer will work closely with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to deliver projects successfully.

Qualifications

B.S. in Chemical Engineering (minimum)
10+ years’ experience in chemical process engineering
Experience in process development, design, and construction
Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
Strong time management and leadership skills
Comfortable supervising junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Background in chemical processing or related industries
Capital project management experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Lead and support engineering design for process-facility projects
Supervise and mentor engineering team members
Develop material & energy balances and process flow diagrams (PFDs)
Prepare piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
Size, specify, and procure equipment
Provide equipment and piping layout design support
Perform process and utility calculations
Support construction activities and process startups
Coordinate closely with vendors and clients to ensure requirements are met

Project management of capital projects
Construction support and startup/commissioning
