Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Director (RN) to provide hospital-wide leadership and operational oversight during evenings, nights, and weekends. This is an exempt travel leadership role responsible for directing inpatient units as well as ancillary and support departments during off-shift hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct overall hospital operations during nights, weekends, and holidays
- Provide leadership oversight for inpatient units and all ancillary/support departments
- Serve as a clinical and administrative role model, making timely and effective decisions
- Manage high-acuity, emergency, trauma, and critical care situations
- Support staff through organizational change with professionalism and consistency
- Apply hospital policies and contractual requirements fairly and consistently
- Maintain dependable attendance and demonstrate strong work ethic
- May be required to cover shift supervisor duties as needed
Schedule & Contract Details
- 8-hour night shifts | 40 hours guaranteed per week
- Weekends and holidays as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of successful healthcare leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution
- Strong knowledge of acute care hospital operations, including emergency and critical care
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and continuing education
