How This Role Makes a Difference
The Director of Patient Marketing will provide oversight for all patient marketing initiatives. You will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that drive patient acquisition, engagement, and retention. This role combines online and offline strategies, leverages data-driven insights, and integrates emerging technologies including artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize patient experiences and improve outcomes.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Develop and execute patient recruitment and retention strategies for clinical research studies.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, omni-channel marketing strategy integrating digital and traditional marketing efforts to create a seamless and personalized participant journey.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical, analytics, IT, and, Community, Operations, and business development to ensure a unified participant marketing approach.
- Oversee all digital marketing initiatives including social media, email campaigns, website optimization, paid media, and content marketing.
- Design and manage offline strategies such as direct mail, print media, partnering with patient advocacy groups, and event activation.
- Utilize AI and machine learning tools for predictive analytics, patient segmentation, personalization, and campaign automation.
- Lead the implementation of AI-powered solutions for enhanced engagement, dynamic content personalization, and intelligent targeting.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors, and technology partners to execute campaigns and adopt cutting-edge marketing tools.
- Define KPIs and measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives to optimize efficiency.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to proactively adjust marketing strategies and ensure compliance.
- Oversee the creation of compelling patient-centric content, including educational materials, digital assets and outreach programs.
- Collaborate with Legal and Regulatory teams to review and approve marketing materials, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
The Expertise Required
- Strong analytical mindset, adept at interpreting data to inform strategic decision-making for patient marketing campaigns.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively, driving innovation in patient engagement approaches.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, coupled with a solid background in graphic design systems to ensure a holistic and integrated marketing approach.
- Track record of successfully adapting to and implementing advancements in technology and tools within the patient marketing landscape, showcasing a commitment to staying at the forefront of industry trends.
- Proven leadership in developing and executing comprehensive patient engagement strategies, reflecting a deep understanding of the evolving dynamics in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
- Strong command of compliance considerations within patient marketing, ensuring all initiatives align with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.
- Exceptional skills in collaborating with cross-functional teams, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and providing strategic guidance on patient marketing initiatives
- Proven expertise in both digital and traditional marketing strategies.
- Experience implementing or managing AI-driven marketing tools and platforms
Certifications/Licenses, Education, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- At least 10 years of experience in marketing and building strategies.
How We Work Together
- Location: Remote within the United States.
- Travel: This role requires up to 25% nationally travel requirements. Length of travel will depend upon study requirements, staff needs, and company initiatives.
