Overview
The Site Supervisor oversees the day-to-day execution of structured cabling, integrated security, and IT infrastructure installation projects. This role ensures all work is performed safely, on time, and to The Navicon Group’s high-quality standards. The Site Supervisor acts as the on-site lead, coordinating technicians, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure smooth project delivery.
Duties
- Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate on-site work for cabling, security systems (access control, cameras, alarms), and IT infrastructure installations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in structured cabling, security systems, or networking preferred.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in structured cabling, low-voltage systems, IT infrastructure, or integrated security installations.
- Strong understanding of EIA/TIA cabling standards, low-voltage electrical codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using project documentation tools, site reporting software, and basic MS Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in various environments, including active construction sites.
- Standing, walking, and climbing ladders for extended periods.
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to guide installation teams.
- Oversee the scheduling, task assignment, and productivity of technicians and subcontractors.
- Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are on-site and ready for use; coordinate deliveries as needed.
- Troubleshoot on-site technical or logistical issues, escalating to the Project Manager when required.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and quality control documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on-site, addressing questions and providing updates.
- Verify that completed installations meet project requirements and industry best practices.
