A unique opportunity is available for an experienced General Education Teacher to cover a leave in a second-grade classroom at an elementary school located in Waltham, MA. This contract position spans from December 12th, 2025, through March 27th, 2026, providing the chance to engage with young learners in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver general education instruction to a second-grade class following the established curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and student growth.
- Collaborate with school staff and administrators to support student development and address individual needs.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
- Implement lesson plans and classroom management techniques appropriate for the elementary level.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts state certification for General Education teaching.
- Prior experience teaching elementary school students, preferably within a second-grade setting.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage young learners.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and enriching learning environment.
Location:
- Onsite assignment at an elementary school in Waltham, Massachusetts.
- School hours run from 8:42 am to 3:00 pm daily, Monday through Friday during the contract period.
