Position Title: Pool Café Cook (Summer Position)
Position Reports to: Poolside Café Manager; Director of Culinary Operations
Employee Categories: Part Time or Full Time Seasonal
FLSA Category: Non- Exempt; Hourly
Primary Responsibilities includes but not limited to:
• Each employee will be expected to be on time to work and in proper uniform. They will be asked to report to Assistant and Supervisor.
• Follow check off lists posted in Snack Bar.
• Follow established par levels, paper goods levels and utilize the "86" List (Kitchen and Poolside Cafe)
• Be pleasant with both members and co-workers.
• Help make decisions when certain situations call for it (Ex: Food running low - react; soda needs changing – react)
• Assist in closing operations - Again follow check-off lists and other delegated duties. Remember to try to stay one step ahead for the next shift or day (ex. bring up more paper goods, prep and clean).
• Filling out Daily sanitation, temp and time logs.
• Maintaining cleanliness of outdoor Pool Café Dining area
Required Skills:
• Adhere to established Poolside Restaurant food service operation standards
• Adhere sanitation codes
• Maintain the highest quality of food and service.
• Assist with development and preparation of daily and weekly specials.
• Maintaining quality work habits within the operation.
• Responsible, Honest, Creative
Uniform Requirements:
• Partial Uniform Provided. Chef Jacket, TCC Logo Hat and Black Pants
• Employees is required to have black work shoes with non-slip sole.
Physical Requirements:
• Stand for 8-10 hours.
• Be able to tolerate hot and cold conditions on service line.
• Must be able to kneel, bend over and stand up many times during a shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to work at a rapid pace and, on occasion, needs to be able to lift heavy pots/pans. You will be working some long days, so it’s very important to have the proper footwear to release the pressure off your back.
