At Jushi Holdings Inc. ”) (CSE: JUSH) (OTCQX: JUSHF), we are shaping the future of the cannabis industry, the fastest growing jobs sector in the U.S. The Cultivation Manager will support the Director of Cultivation (DoC) in all things related to Jushi’s cultivation facility's operations. Including, but not limited to, cultivation scheduling, planning, staffing, storage & transport. The Cultivation Manager will also help facilitate cross-functional department communications, including compliance, quality, community relations, engineering & maintenance, and purchasing. WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Oversee and manage all activities related to the flowering stage of cannabis cultivation, from early bloom through harvest.
  • Develop and implement detailed cultivation plans and schedules for the flowering stage, ensuring alignment with production targets and strain-specific needs.
  • Continuously monitor plant health and development, proactively identifying and addressing any issues (nutrient deficiencies, diseases, pests, or abiotic stress).
  • Maintain optimal environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, lighting, CO2) within the flowering rooms/areas to maximize flower production and quality.
  • Implement and supervise appropriate plant training techniques (e.g., trellising, topping, defoliation) to optimize canopy management and light penetration.
  • Oversee all harvest activities, ensuring proper procedures are followed for harvesting and transition to post-harvest.
  • Maintain meticulous records of plant growth, yields, and all treatments applied throughout the flowering stage.
  • Fertigation Program Management:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive nutrient programs tailored to the specific needs of flowering cannabis plants, considering strain variations and growth stages.
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of nutrient solutions, ensuring accurate mixing, pH adjustment, and application methods to prevent nutrient imbalances.
  • Monitor irrigation systems, water quality, and nutrient levels to optimize plant nutrition and prevent deficiencies or toxicities.
  • Regularly test and analyze plant tissue and nutrient solutions, making necessary adjustments to fertigation programs based on data and observations.
  • Maintain detailed records of all nutrient applications, fertigation schedules, and water quality parameters.
  • Collaborate closely with the IPM/Fertigation Leads to develop and implement effective IPM strategies to prevent and control pests and diseases within the flowering areas.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulations and safety protocols regarding pesticide use and application.
  • Participate in regular IPM scouting and monitoring activities to identify potential pest or disease issues early on.
  • Work closely with the Cultivation Manager - Mother Stock, Propagation & Veg to ensure a seamless transition of healthy plants from the vegetative stage to flowering.
  • Directly supervise and mentor two (2) Flower Leads and two (2) IPM/Fertigation Leads, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training.
  • Oversee a team of twelve (12) Flower Technicians and two (2) IPM/Fertigation Technicians, delegating tasks effectively and fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Provide regular training and development opportunities for all team members on cultivation techniques, IPM practices, and fertigation procedures.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement for each team member.
  • Foster a positive and safe work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in all flowering areas and fertigation mixing zones.
  • Adhere to all company policies, standard operating procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and new research in cannabis cultivation, IPM, and fertigation.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in horticulture, agriculture, plant science, or a related field (preferred).
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing commercial cannabis cultivation, with a strong emphasis on the flowering stage and fertigation.
  • Extensive knowledge of cannabis plant physiology, nutrient requirements, common pests and diseases, and environmental control strategies for optimal flowering.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful IPM programs in a commercial cannabis cultivation setting.
  • In-depth understanding of fertigation principles and practices, including nutrient solution preparation, delivery methods, and monitoring techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis and record-keeping tools.
