Revenue Cycle Specialist
About the Position
The Revenue Cycle Specialist conducts revenue cycle management of accounts receivable and provides essential support to the Director of Finance. This position is responsible for initiating, reviewing, verifying, reconciling and resolving medical accounts receivable (AR). Assisting in AR-related financial analyses and resultant process improvements are also in scope. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in electronic billing and related software.
Key Responsibilities
- Post payments to patient accounts, prepare and record bank deposits, and reconcile to the General Ledger.
- Investigate and resolve unpaid medical claims, communicating directly with insurance carriers and patients.
- Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end close processes.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma required.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
- Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
