Geneva Point Center (GPC) is a historic non-profit conference center and summer camp in a natural northern New England setting. Located in the town of Moultonborough, New Hampshire, the campus includes 184 acres of wooded nature trails and one mile of lakeshore on Lake Winnipesaukee. There are more than 90 structures on the site, including cabins, small family cottages and private lodge rooms. The Center has a long-running summer season and has its own ice cream shop that is open to the public.

Job Summary:

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership and management of all Geneva Point Center (GPC) functions. This includes direction of day-to-day operations, staff recruiting and management, strategic planning, accounting, and reporting. The position reports to and takes direction from the Board of Directors (BOD) of Geneva Point Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and administration of the GPC operations organization including staff recruitment, training, and management.
  • Policy development, deployment, and enforcement that assures all personnel safety and welfare.
  • Development and tracking of GPC budget overseeing revenue and expenditures. Periodic reporting of budget status to Board of Directors (BOD).
  • Lead fundraising efforts and charitable donor engagement to provide ongoing support for Geneva Point.
  • Marketing of GPC resources and events to promote growth in customer engagement.
  • Responsible for ensuring that GPC building and grounds are maintained in a safe and clean condition. Coordinate with maintenance staff for repairs and improvements. Establish long term plan for building and supporting infrastructure renewal and growth.
  • Compose and deliver status reports to the BOD.

Working Conditions:

· The environment at GPC celebrates the outdoor experience. Exposure to the elements is expected.

· The Executive Director is a site resident and must work a flexible schedule coordinating with staff to assure 24 hour availability to address customer needs during the camping season.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Resourceful, with creative problem solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in camp management and leadership roles.
  • Experience with grant submissions and solicitation of charitable donations.
  • Personnel recruitment and personnel logistics (including offshore labor resources).
  • Ability to develop and implement innovative and engaging programs for customers
  • CPR and first aid certification is required. If not already certified, this may be achieved within the first three months of employment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
