Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 Special Education Teacher position is available at a Northfield, VT school for the uping school year. This contract role involves providing tailored instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring their academic growth and inclusion in the school munity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet varying abilities and learning styles.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student progress.
- Monitor and assess student performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and municate frequently with parents and staff.
- Promote positive behavior and social skills in the classroom environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teacher certification.
- Experience teaching students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and intervention strategies.
- Ability to effectively manage diverse classroom dynamics.
- Excellent munication and organizational skills.
