About the Role:

Aquila is seeking a Digital Content Designer to join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. We are actively seeking a Digital Content Designer who is highly motivated, resourceful, and creative individual to take an active role in building awareness of our scalable research facilitation capabilities. The position requires a person who is able to work both independently and cooperatively within a team, prioritize effectively, and reliably manage multiple concurrent tasks. An ideal candidate is committed to tackling new projects with creativity and enthusiasm.

There are a few requirements for the position:

  • Must be a U.S Citizen- Must be able to obtain an Active Secret Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
  • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)

Responsibilities:

  • Synthesize and distill complex information to create clear content and documentation for a broad audience.
  • Support the online learning projects by building components for the online courses as well as proofreading and editing new content.
  • Review documentation and training materials and proactively identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Manage coordination of LLSC events for the user base, e.g. monthly Lunch-n-Learn.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required, technical background preferred.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, as well as attention to detail and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
  • Good working knowledge of and/or the ability to master web content tools such as Wordpress, Drupal, Github, HTML, Markdown, and Open edX.
  • Willingness to learn new software and content delivery tools.

  • Degree Level: Bachelor's Degree
  • 1 years - Design
  • 1 years - Graphic Design
  • 1 years - Presentation Design, Poster Design, Document Design, Technical Illustrations, and Photo Manipulation
  • 1 years - Software
  • 1 years - Adobe software (Acrobat, InDesign)
  • 1 years - MS Suite (Excel, ppt)
  • 1 years - Sketchup or other Rendering Packages, Adobe, InDesign and Other Production Tools
  • 1 years - Web Applications support/Content Management Systems Support (Drupal, WordPress etc.)
  • 1 years - Writing/Editing
  • 1 years - Content Writing

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with training, outreach and education experience are highly desirable.

  • By Your Own Device (BYOD) Allowance Reimbursed up to $1500 for the purchase of a qualified technology device. Eligible after 90 days of employment, and benefit renews every three years.

Work Location: Remote- Individual works from home or off-site and is located outside of a routinely commutable distance from the Lexington facility.

Clearance: Must be US Citizen - Interim clearance sufficient to start, but be able to obtain an Active Secret Clearance
