Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Buyer in Billerica, MA, to join a leading medical device manufacturer known for its innovative laser systems that enhance surgical precision and control. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a company that is at the forefront of advancing minimally invasive surgical technologies.
Shift of the Buyer:
7:00AM - 3:30PM (Some Flexibility)
Pay Rate/Salary of the Buyer:
$80,000 - $100,000
Responsibilities of the Buyer:
- Manage procurement of HTL laser head components, including laser diodes, optics, and precision assemblies.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and payment terms with sole-source and critical suppliers.
- Develop risk mitigation plans for supplier disruptions and coordinate performance reviews.
- Align purchasing activities with production schedules and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements for all procured materials.
Qualifications of the Buyer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
- 7+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience in medical devices or related fields.
- Hands-on experience sourcing laser, photonics, and optical components.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems, preferably NetSuite.
