Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a part-time Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) serving K-12 students across multiple locations in Nashua, NH. The contract runs from ASAP start through June 19, 2026, offering approximately 18 hours per week with a half-time schedule. This position requires a dedicated educator who can provide specialized support directly on-site to students with hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support to K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Manage a diverse caseload across multiple locations, addressing a range of student needs
- Utilize specialized teaching strategies and assistive technologies to enhance learning outcomes
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active New Hampshire Teaching License is required
- Valid Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement/license mandatory
- Proven experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in a K-12 setting preferred
- Ability to work onsite consistently at various school locations in Nashua, NH
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, parents, and specialists
