Job Description

The window treatments manager/installer is responsible for installing various window coverings like blinds, shades, draperies, and shutters in homes and commercial buildings. They measure windows, cut and fit treatments, and ensure proper functionality and aesthetics. Responsibilities also include removing existing coverings, preparing surfaces, and advising customers on maintenance. Must have 3-5 year prior experience to be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule appointments with customers and coordinates with other employee designers and installers.

Measuring and Planning: Accurately measure window dimensions to determine the appropriate size and style of window treatments.

Trains employees on proper measurement and installation techniques of the various brands/window treatment types.

Installation: Installs a variety of window treatments, including blinds, shades, shutters, and draperies.

Cutting and Fitting: Measure, cut, and fit window treatments to ensure a proper and aesthetically pleasing fit.

Tools and Materials: Use hand and power tools to install and secure window treatments.

Customer Interaction: Consult with clients on window treatment options and provide advice on styles, materials, and maintenance.

Troubleshooting: Address any issues or problems that may arise during the installation process.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean up after installation and ensure the area is tidy.

Documentation: Accurately record measurements and complete necessary paperwork.

Additional Skills and Qualifications:

Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and handle heavy materials and equipment.

Manual Dexterity: Fine motor skills for precise measurements and installations.

Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve installation issues.

Communication: Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and other employees.

Attention to Detail: Ability to work accurately and ensure proper alignment and fit.

Time Management: Ability to complete installations efficiently and meet deadlines.

Transportation: Candidate must have a valid driver's license. A company Van will be provided for traveling to job sites.
