Maintenance Technician
Woburn, MA (Onsite) | Pay Rate: $37/hr | Shift: Thurs–Sat & every other Wed, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
️ Duration: 5 Months (Possible Extension) | Potential to Convert direct hire: Yes
Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician supports facility operations within a semiconductor manufacturing environment, performing maintenance on building systems and equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems.
- Conduct environmental rounds (temperature, alarms, VOC scrubbers, filtration systems).
- Handle basic carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks.
- Maintain safety standards and support emergency response as needed.
- Manage inventories of critical consumables and complete accurate documentation.
- Operate wastewater treatment systems (Grade 1 Operator).
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of maintenance or facilities experience.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Safety-focused with ability to work independently.
Preferred:
- MA Wastewater License (Client will sponsor certification within first year).
- HAZWOPER or OSHA 10/30 hr training.
- Experience with hazardous materials (e.g., chlorine, ammonia, xylene).
Additional Details
- Environment: Semiconductor manufacturing facility.
- Interview: 1 in-person interview and site tour.
- Conversion: Eligible for full-time hire at $38/hr.
