Join Our Team: Personal Care Attendant

Salary Range: $16.00 - $22.00 Hourly

Schedule: Per Diem

Who We're Seeking: As a Personal Care Attendant, you’ll provide compassionate, one-on-one care that brings warmth, connection, and comfort to clients in their homes. In this role, you’ll support daily living needs such as light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, cooking, errands, and personal care—including bathing and dressing—while ensuring safety and dignity in accordance with each client’s Plan of Care. You’ll also offer meaningful companionship, monitor client well-being, and communicate any changes to your supervisor. Your Responsibilities: As a member of our dedicated team, you'll:

  • Knowledge of proper body mechanics, safe and proper use of mechanical and adaptive equipment, and use of universal precautions and infection control required.
  • Ability to provide emotional support and positive social interactions with clients and/or their families is required.
  • Ability to aid with bathing, dressing, and minimal assist with transfers, ambulation, assistance with self-administered medication and other personal care needs as established in the Plan of Care required.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations required
  • Ability to display flexibility to work as needed including unplanned schedule changes within a fast-paced and constantly changing environment required
  • Knowledge of and observance of emergency reporting procedures required

Requirements:

  • High school education or GED equivalent
  • Previous experience working with the elderly and/or adults with disabilities preferred.
  • Valid Vermont driver’s license. Ability to successfully pass pre-employment history and physical examination. Must successfully pass background checks including driver record, criminal, adult and child abuse background, and Office of Inspector General (OIG) check/review. Must show proof of qualified auto insurance at time of employment.
