JOB RESPOSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership and work with management to ensure that the core values, mission, vision, goals, and policies of the company are being put into practice.
- Maintain, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems/components found in food manufacturing equipment related to all packaging, processing, filling, and facility systems (industrial refrigeration, compressed air, pumps, and heat exchangers.
- Work on troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical equipment and PLC's and perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Maintain complete inventory records of machinery, equipment repairs and service cycle activities.
- Report defects, damages, and malfunctions of any kind to the supervising authority.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Comply with all internal policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administrative (OSHA) rules while working.
- Participate in continuous trainings to ensure personal growth and knowledge.
- Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and skilled use of a variety of hand tools, precision hand tools, and measuring instruments required. Preferred competencies in welding, presses, grinders, basic fabrication, PLC logic is a plus
- Ability to climb a ladder, reach, bend, and lift loads up to 50lbs.
- Must wear personal protective equipment appropriate to job functions (gloves, masks and appropriate body, hand, and foot coverings)
- Adhere to the plant's HACCP plan and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
- Be available to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation
- Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Preferred knowledge of food manufacturing maintenance.
- Welding and plumbing knowledge a plus.
