Job SummaryWe are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Morning Baker to join our kitchen team and help us provide freshly baked goods to our customers each day. The ideal candidate is an early riser with a passion for baking, capable of producing high-quality pastries, breads, and other baked items with consistency and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities· Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods including breads, pastries, muffins, cookies, and specialty items according to recipes and quality standards· Arrive early to begin daily production and ensure products are ready for opening hours· Measure and mix ingredients accurately and operate baking equipment safely· Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards· Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate restocking needs· Assist in developing and testing new recipes or seasonal offerings· Label, date, and store baked items appropriately· Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and communicate effectively with the front-of-house team
Qualifications· Previous baking experience preferred, especially in a commercial or café setting· Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dough handling, and proofing times· Ability to follow recipes with precision and maintain consistency· Comfortable working early morning shifts (start times between 4:00–6:30 AM)· Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently· Food Handler’s Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring)· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
ScheduleEarly morning shifts (4:30 AM – 12:00 PM), including weekends and holidays as needed
