In this role, the candidate will collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to advance portfolio projects, with a particular emphasis on supporting in vitro data generation. Responsibilities include performing and adapting cell-based in vitro protocols in a timely manner across diverse cell systems, data analysis and effective communication of results, and collaboration across multiple teams. The position offers a unique opportunity for a talented scientist to work in a dynamic, innovative, and multi-disciplinary environment to develop their career at the interface of basic research and early drug discovery. The position requires ability to work independently, demonstrate excellent technical, written and oral communication skills and work very well in a collaborative team environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Human colon organoid culture, passaging, and plating for experiments to support the group
  • Perform cell-based assays using cell lines and mammalian primary cells
  • Test biologic and small molecules in cell-based assays for functional readouts including cell proliferation, cytokine release, and gene expression
  • Perform advanced molecular and cellular biology techniques (including but not limited to FACS, ELISA, MSD, HTRF, qPCR)
  • Responsibilities may include processing animal tissue ex vivo and isolation of immune cells from human and animal tissue or blood
  • Work independently on the design, execution and interpretation of experimental results to validate hypotheses related to the project need
  • Maintain close communication with multiple groups to support human colon organoid cell needs
