We are looking for a dynamic Credit Manager to lead and inspire a team of credit and cash application professionals at our office in Worcester County. In this role, you will oversee credit management, new account setups, and cash application processes while fostering collaboration with internal departments and external partners. This position is ideal for a results-driven leader with a passion for optimizing financial operations in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee and mentor a team of 12, including credit associates and cash application staff, to ensure smooth and effective financial operations.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external clients to facilitate billing, deductions management, payment resolution, and account reconciliation.

• Manage multiple priorities while coaching and empowering your team to achieve shared goals.

• Provide senior management with detailed reporting metrics and regular updates on portfolio performance and challenges.

• Collaborate with IT teams to enhance automation within the cash application process.

• Drive consistent improvement in credit management strategies for both small-scale and larger corporate accounts.

• Develop and implement processes to streamline new account setups and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Represent the department in cross-functional initiatives to align credit strategies with broader business objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience managing a credit department in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

• Proven expertise in consumer goods manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, or related industries such as supermarket retail or direct store delivery.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills, combined with excellent analytical abilities for problem-solving.

• Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams in a minimally structured environment.

• Proficiency in Office tools, particularly Excel and Word; experience with AS400 systems is a plus.

• Background in B2B collections, accounts receivable, and credit portfolio management.

• Familiarity with the local community and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
