Employment Term: August 2025 June 2026
Schedule: 3237.5 hours/week, MondayFriday
Caseload: Middle School (Grades 68) & High School (Grades 912)
Position Overview
Mascoma Valley Regional School Districtinvites applications for a full-time School Psychologist to support the social, emotional, behavioral, and academic needs of our secondary students. The ideal candidate brings proven school-based experience, strong assessment skills, and an ability to collaborate within MTSS/IEP frameworks at the middle and high school levels.

Hours: 3237.5 hours/week (typical school schedule with start/end times aligned to district bell schedules)

On-Site Requirement: In-person presence required on assigned campuses
Key ResponsibilitiesPsychoeducational Evaluation & Assessment
-
Conduct 75+ comprehensive evaluations annually (e.g., cognitive, academic, socialemotional, behavioral, and vocational assessments).

Administer and interpret instruments such as WISC, WIAT, BASC, MMPI-A, and executive function tools.

Prepare concise, legally compliant psychoeducational reports with clear educational recommendations.
Special Education & Eligibility
-
Participate in IEP teams, eligibility determinations, and review meetings.

Ensure compliance with NH Department of Education standards and federal IDEA regulations.

Facilitate the development, implementation, and monitoring of appropriate IEP goals.
MTSS & Tiered Support
-
Actively contribute to Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) teams for data-based intervention selection.

Consult on behavioral supports, universal screening results, and progress monitoring.

Provide training to staff on behavior management, mental health awareness, and data interpretation.
Crisis Prevention & Consultation
-
Provide crisis assessment and short-term intervention for students in distress.

Offer consultation to teachers and administrators on mental health, social skills, and interpersonal challenges.

Coordinate with families and community agencies to facilitate wraparound services when needed.
Collaboration & Professional Development
-
Build strong working relationships with school administrators, teachers, counselors, and medicaid staff.

Participate in district-wide professional learning communities and stay current on best practices.

Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, IEPs, consultations, and follow-ups.
Qualifications
Required:
-
Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from a NASP- or APA-accredited program

Valid NH School Psychologist Certification/Licensure

Minimum of two years of experience in school settings, with middle/high school preferred

Strong background in psychoeducational testing and IEP processes

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Familiarity with NH rules, IDEA, Section 504, and MTSS frameworks
Preferred:

Experience administering CBM, curriculum-based assessments, and data-driven interventions

Bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish/English)

Experience with transition planning, self-advocacy, and vocational assessments

Demonstrated leadership in contributing to school-wide mental health initiatives
