This is an hourly position pays $16.03 hourly - Located in Londonderry, NH

A brief overview: This position will oversee the kitchen at a busy Meals on Wheels site located at the Londonderry NH Senior Center. Your day will start off with a delivery of food from our caterer. Everything is already cooked and prepared when it arrives at the site, you and your team will package everything up and get it ready to deliver. Then the meal delivery drivers pack the meals for delivery and head out on the road. You make sure the kitchen is cleaned up and ready for the next day.

Responsibilities at the site include packing meals for the homebound, cleaning-up kitchen, assisting the manager and supervising volunteers. Knowledge of proper sanitation procedures a plus but training is provided. This position will help support the manager with everyday issues as well as able to fill in during short-term absence. This position also requires the site assistant to fill in for meal delivery drivers when needed. Mileage reimbursement is 72 cents a mile.

Some physical requirements are listed here but not limited to; ability to lift up to approximately 35 pounds, push or pull heavy carts. Ability to bend, kneel or twist while working in the kitchen. You may also be on your feet for 1 to 2 hours at a time. When filling in for a driver, you will be doing a mix of driving and walking in and out of homes, you will enter and exit a vehicle multiple times and may have to navigate stairs during delivery. A meal delivery route is approximately 2 hours.

This job is Approx. 25 hours per week from about 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM Monday-Friday. 11 paid holidays off per year. Paid time off for vacation/sick day (accrued). Annual longevity bonuses.

Skills and Qualifications: Must be 21 years of age or over with a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and a good driving record. Comfortable using a computer and the ability to handle paperwork in managers absence.
