As a Buyer II, you’ll play a key role in supporting procurement operations, ensuring departments get the resources they need by sourcing goods and services while ensuring compliance with state policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full cycle purchasing (requisitions, POs, vendor documentation)
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations (MMARS, MHEC, OSD, etc.)
  • Support contract renewals and vendor relations
  • Train and support users on procurement systems
  • Prepare an analyze reports/queries


Requirements:

  • 2 years of purchasing experience, or
  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s in Business (may substitute for experience)
  • Ability to gather & analyze data and make recommendations
  • Strong communication, organization, and judgment
  • Ability to work independently
  • State/agency procurement laws, regulations, and procedures
  • Experience working successfully in a fast-paced environment
  • At least 2 years in procurement preferred
  • Experience with MMARS, Perceptive, state/co-op contracts desirable
  • Background in a state agency setting is a plus


The Buyer II role is a temp to hire, hybrid opportunity in the Worcester area. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm with a pay rate is $28.00-$29.00 per hour. Interested or want to learn more? Reach out or apply today!
