As a Buyer II, you’ll play a key role in supporting procurement operations, ensuring departments get the resources they need by sourcing goods and services while ensuring compliance with state policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full cycle purchasing (requisitions, POs, vendor documentation)
- Ensure compliance with state regulations (MMARS, MHEC, OSD, etc.)
- Support contract renewals and vendor relations
- Train and support users on procurement systems
- Prepare an analyze reports/queries
Requirements:
- 2 years of purchasing experience, or
- Associate’s/Bachelor’s in Business (may substitute for experience)
- Ability to gather & analyze data and make recommendations
- Strong communication, organization, and judgment
- Ability to work independently
- State/agency procurement laws, regulations, and procedures
- Experience working successfully in a fast-paced environment
- At least 2 years in procurement preferred
- Experience with MMARS, Perceptive, state/co-op contracts desirable
- Background in a state agency setting is a plus
