Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 Special Education teaching opportunity is available in Cambridge, MA for a leave contract. This role is ideal for an educator with a moderate special education license and experience teaching at the secondary level.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in grades 6-12.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students goals.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies to maximize learning outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with special education regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid moderate special education teaching license.
  • Proven experience teaching secondary level students (6th-12th grades).
  • Strong knowledge of special education best practices and instructional strategies.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff, students, and families.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Locations and Schedule:

  • Two full-time positions at the high school level (grades 9-12), Monday through Friday, approximately 7:30 am to 2:10 pm, through June 2026.
  • One full-time position at the middle school level (grades 6-8), Monday through Friday, approximately 7:50 am to 2:40 pm, through March 2026.
