Location: Newton, MA (On-site and some remote)

Compensation: Paid

Schedule: Flexible, 15–25 hours/week (evening/weekend availability preferred)

Reports To: Owner

Overview:

We’re looking for a creative, organized, and enthusiastic Intern to support our events and marketing efforts across our hospitality and boutique retail businesses. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in event coordination, social media marketing, content creation, customer engagement, and administrative support—perfect for someone pursuing a career in hospitality, marketing, or event management.

Key Responsibilities:

Events Coordination (Hospitality & Retail):

  • Assist with planning, promoting, and executing on-site and off-site events (e.g., wine tastings, private dinners, pop-ups, charity fundraisers).

  • Coordinate event logistics: vendor communication, guest lists, signage, set-up/break-down.

  • Greet and support guests during events to ensure a smooth experience.

  • Capture content (photos, short videos) for social media during events.

Marketing Support:

  • Draft and schedule content for Instagram, Facebook, and email newsletters.

  • Help brainstorm and execute seasonal and promotional campaigns.

  • Assist in designing flyers, posters, and digital graphics (Canva experience a plus).

  • Monitor and engage with online community (respond to DMs, comments, etc.).

  • Conduct competitor research and assist with social media analytics reports.

Assistant / Administrative Tasks:

  • Help maintain marketing calendars and event timelines.

  • Organize inventory for event supplies and promotional materials.

  • Support with customer outreach and follow-ups after events.

  • Assist with light clerical duties, including filing, data entry, and scheduling.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Current student or recent graduate in Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Creative eye for design and detail-oriented execution.

  • Experience with social media platforms and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Instagram Reels).

  • Available some evenings/weekends for events.

  • Passion for food, beverage, and community engagement a plus.
