Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired Assisting Students in Nashua, NH
Location: Nashua, NH (Remote)
Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (K-12)

About VocoVision:
VocoVision is seeking a compassionate and skilled Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide remote services to K-12 students in Nashua, New Hampshire. In this role, you will deliver specialized instruction in braille, assistive technology, and mobility skills to ensure visually impaired students succeed academically and socially in a virtual learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide remote instruction in braille, adaptive technologies, and functional skills to students with visual impairments.
• Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address each students specific needs and learning goals.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school teams to assess progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary.
• Participate in IEP meetings to ensure visually impaired students receive the support and accommodations they need.
• Support general education teachers in integrating students with visual impairments into classroom activities.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with New Hampshires special education guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid New Hampshire certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education with a focus on visual impairments.
• At least two years of experience teaching visually impaired students (teletherapy experience is a plus).
• Strong proficiency with assistive technology and virtual teaching platforms.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote work.
• A reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace.
