Position Overview

Markarian Electric is seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our electrical service department. This role is responsible for managing service technicians, coordinating service work, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and ensuring all electrical service activities comply with company standards and applicable codes.

The Electrical Service Manager will focus primarily on electrical service and smaller installation projects, typically lasting 2 to 4 days, and will work closely with Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and Project Managers who assist with scheduling, coordination, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Operations

Lead, supervise, and support a team of electrical service technicians and electricians

Ensure technicians are properly licensed, trained, and equipped to perform work safely and efficiently

Collaborate with CSRs and Project Managers to schedule, assign, and prioritize service calls

Support scheduling efforts to maximize productivity and minimize downtime

Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and ongoing training

Promote a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work culture

Customer Service & Client Relations

Serve as the primary escalation point for electrical service-related customer concerns

Maintain strong relationships with customers and key accounts

Resolve service issues promptly and professionally

Assist with service agreements and customer communications as needed

Service & Field Management

Oversee daily electrical service operations, including dispatching and emergency response

Monitor service work to ensure quality, safety, and code compliance

Manage electrical materials, tools, and service inventory

Coordinate with vendors and procurement to ensure timely availability of materials

Provide after-hours support for emergency service calls when required

Financial & Administrative Oversight

Review work orders, job costs, and service tickets for accuracy

Support billing and invoicing for completed service work

Assist with accounts receivable follow-up related to service projects

Prepare service performance and operational reports for management

Compliance & Safety

Ensure all electrical service work complies with local codes, regulations, and company standards

Enforce safety policies and conduct regular safety meetings and jobsite inspections

Ensure technicians maintain required licenses and certifications

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 5 years of electrical service experience, with 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role

Experience managing field technicians and coordinating service operations

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced service environment

Willingness to learn and grow — training will be provided for any areas where additional knowledge is needed

Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Ability to work in varied environments, including outdoors, ladders, and confined spaces

Availability to respond to emergency service calls outside regular business hours
