A dedicated and enthusiastic Reading Specialist is sought for a summer role in East Bridgewater, MA. This part-time position runs from July 7th to August 7th, focusing on providing targeted support to K-12 students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literacy and a commitment to fostering student growth in a collaborative and nurturing environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education License or certified reading specialist
- Previous experience working with elementary school students preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective literacy strategies
Location:
Cambridge, MA
Responsibilities:
- Assess students' reading abilities and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide instruction and support to a small caseload of students
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a comprehensive literacy program
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for support
