Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract role is an opportunity to support middle and high school students in a K-12 special education setting in Derry, NH. The position requires an active New Hampshire Special Education teaching license and involves working onsite for 37.5 hours per week throughout the current school year.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing specialized instruction and support to middle and high school students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborating with classroom teachers and support staff to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies to meet individual goals
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Engaging with families and caregivers to support student development and success
Qualifications:
- Active New Hampshire Special Education teaching license (required)
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in middle and high school levels
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
