ABOUT YPP: Youth, Purpose, and Partnership (YPP) is a peer leadership initiative that employs young people from local communities to connect with community members through dialogue and storytelling, all while enhancing their workplace, technical, and leadership skills. YPP utilizes multimedia methods, including audio and film production, along with in-person youth-led discussions, to foster relationships among peers and within the community, driving meaningful change. YPP peer leaders collaborate with various resources and community partners to gain insights about the city and to help shape the vision they have for their community.
Summary:
The Peer Leader Supervisor (Summer) will serve as a key role of support and guidance for youth peer leaders (ages 14-18) employed at YPP. Under supervision of the YPP leadership staff Program the Peer Leader Supervisor will be primarily responsible for maintaining structure, curriculum and policies of the Youth, Purpose & Partnership Summer Program. They will work to develop project plans and support each peer leader to design and track progress against a work plan. YPP’s school year program runs approximately 24 weeks between October and May*; summer program runs 6-8 weeks for the Peer Leaders. Peer Leader Supervisors candidates must be available to start no later one week before programming and up to one week after programming ends. Peer Leader Supervisors are paid $20/hour and work a maximum of 15 hours a week during the school year and a maximum of 25 hours a week during the summer. School year schedule: Monday - Friday 4:30p-7:30p; Summer schedule: Mondays from 9:30a-11:30a; Tuesday-Friday 9:00am – 3:30pm*

Responsibilities include:
- Manage peer leader projects and supervise peer leaders
- Develop and teach lessons plans for workshops (using multimedia)
- Organize, develop, and run recreational activities for peer leaders
- Monitor and provide supervision during field trips or off-site activities
- Participate in staff trainings, professional development or special events as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Ideal candidates will have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Good Verbal and written communications skills
- Experience working with youth (Not required but preferred)
- Interest or experience using multimedia or digital technology (Plus but not preferred)
- Able to pass a background check which includes CORI, SORI, and Drug Testing.
- Candidate should be creative, flexible, and personable
- An energetic go-getter with a bright spirit
- An individual who loves achieving targets and aspiring towards an excellent experience with youth

- Must be a Boston Resident
- Must be between the ages of 19-24
