Job DescriptionPosition Summary:

The Family Resource Center (FRC) Supervisor is a leadership role responsible for developing, coordinating, and overseeing programming that equips parents and caregivers with information, referrals, and direct support tailored to their family’s needs. Under the guidance of the FRC Manager, the Supervisor implements services including parenting classes, recreational groups, and family-centered programming.

The role divides time between program development, direct supervision of FRC staff, and engagement with community partners. The Supervisor also provides clinical, administrative, and reflective supervision to a small team that includes FRC Coordinators and Kinship Navigators. This position requires strong collaboration skills to maintain and build partnerships with community organizations such as hospitals, schools, medical providers, DCYF, and other social service agencies. Training and professional development are generously supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and delivery of FRC programming including educational groups, family events, and support services.

  • Supervise and support a team of FRC Coordinators and Kinship Navigators with a focus on reflective and trauma-informed supervision.

  • Ensure all programming and practices comply with FRC contract and funding requirements.

  • Support staff in delivering family-centered, strength-based services, including accurate and culturally sensitive referrals and case support.

  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations and providers.

  • Represent the FRC in community and collaborative settings.

  • Promote equity, inclusion, and resilience among families and staff alike.

  • Monitor program performance and engage in ongoing quality improvement.

  • Foster a culture of learning by participating in and promoting professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Master’s degree in human services or a related field (e.g., social work, psychology, family studies);

    • OR bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience:

    • Experience supervising diverse staff with humility and supporting teams in high-stress, emotionally demanding environments.

    • Solid background in family services using a family-centered and strength-based approach.

    • Experience working with culturally diverse families and communities.

    • Background in home visiting programs and early childhood prevention services.

    • Knowledge of infant and child development, parent-child attachment, and parent-infant health.

    • Understanding of the dynamics of child abuse and neglect.

  • Additional Requirements:

    • Successful completion of criminal background check.

    • No history of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.

    • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, clean driving record, and auto insurance with minimum liability coverage of $50,000/$100,000.
