Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at an elementary school in the Derry, NH area. This full-time contract role offers approximately 32 to 37.5 hours per week with a focus on supporting students with special needs in an elementary school setting. The assignment is scheduled to begin as soon as possible and will continue through June 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
- Employ specialized teaching strategies and modifications to support diverse learners.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to promote student success.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a schools environment, preferably in special education.
- Valid teaching certification in special education.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and intervention techniques.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage an elementary special education caseload effectively.
