We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the service, repair, maintenance, and inspection of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial buildings throughout the Greater Boston area. This position requires strong technical skills, a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including but not limited to air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, ventilation systems, piping systems, chillers, and associated controls.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Inspect systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Install replacement parts and complete system upgrades as needed.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers regarding findings, repairs, and system operation.
- Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle, job site, and tools.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols, including OSHA and company policies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, codes, and best practices through training and certifications.
- Be an active Journeyman member in good standing of United Association local 537 Boston
