Partners in Child Development is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to lead our first middle school classroom at the Anderson School in Andover, MA. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new program while making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with complex medical and developmental needs. Come grow with us!
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM | 11-month school calendar
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized curricula and IEPs
- Lead classroom planning, instruction, and behavioral supports
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
- Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and support staff
- Foster a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
What You Bring
- Required: MA DESE Licensure (PreK–8) in Severe Disabilities or Moderate Disabilities (or in process)
- Bachelor's or Master's in Special Education
- Experience working with students ages 3–16 with multiple disabilities, medically fragile
- Knowledge of the IEP process and special education best practices
- Strong communication, organization, and technology skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform active classroom tasks
- Passing of all background and fingerprint checks

- Anderson School (ages 3–16, medically fragile students with complex medical needs)

- Small class sizes and high staff-to-student ratios (3 students starting in this new classroom – up to 6 maximum)
