This role involves providing expert legal counsel to clients on estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, and trust administration. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in tax-efficient estate planning and a proven ability to manage complex legal matters. Some hybrid is available and must bring a book of business. Responsibilities:
• Offer strategic advice to clients on estate planning, including wills, trusts, and charitable giving.
• Draft and review legal documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney tailored to client needs.
• Guide fiduciaries through trust administration and probate processes while ensuring legal compliance.
• Analyze and address federal and state tax issues related to estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfers.
• Collaborate with financial advisors and accountants to develop holistic wealth management plans.
• Represent clients in probate court proceedings and resolve contested estate matters.
• Stay informed on evolving tax laws and estate planning regulations to provide updated legal strategies.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
• Conduct thorough reviews of complex trust structures to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
• Active Massachusetts Bar license. • At least 8 years of experience in trusts and estates law. • Comprehensive understanding of estate, gift, and generation-skipping tax laws. • Exceptional drafting and analytical skills for complex legal documents. • Proven ability to manage intricate client relationships and deliver tailored solutions. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively. • Expertise in handling probate court proceedings and contested estate matters. • Ability to stay updated on legal and regulatory changes impacting estate planning.
