Job Summary
Part Time Days and Weekends
Instructors will provide quality ski/snowboard instruction to groups and individuals in a safe and fun manner while adhering to "Your Responsibility Code," upholding the highest levels of guest safety and service on varied terrain in demanding winter weather.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Clearly and accurately instruct multiple levels of skiing/snowboarding to students with varying skill levels, and ages, utilizing various styles instruction.</li>
<li>Ensure that students are matched to appropriate skill level groups and work with supervisors to make changes as appropriate.</li>
<li>Provide a safe and fun learning environment through exceptional teaching methods, group handling and creativity.</li>
<li>Assist in operational responsibilities of Ski &amp; Ride programs including but not limited to registration process, directing guests to appropriate equipment fitting sources, lesson meeting place, upkeep of outdoor teaching areas, and cleanliness of facilities.</li>
<li>Attend required meetings.</li>
<li>Be able to discuss the lesson content and evaluate the progress of the guest, and communicate with the guest's parent/guardian when appropriate.</li>
<li>Ability to make sound decisions based on weather conditions, terrain, temperatures and other factors.</li>
<li>Achieve and maintain a high level of guest service skills and experience.</li>
<li>Achieve and maintain knowledge and awareness of the environment.</li>
<li>Assist guests with transportation of equipment when appropriate.</li>
<li>Assist guests with loading and unloading from uphill transportation.</li>
<li>Communicate instructions and help guests to their feet during a lesson when appropriate.</li>

Qualifications &amp; Experience
<ul>
<li>High school diploma preferred.</li>
<li>Intermediate or above skier/snowboarder (comfortable skiing on blue trails).</li>
<li>Possess excellent communication skills/able to communicate effectively to groups and individuals as assigned.</li>
<li>Must work well in a team.</li>
<li>Must be at least 14 years of age prior to start of Season and pass a criminal background check CORI.</li>
<li>Must be able and willing to work long and irregular hours including weekends and holidays.</li>
<li>Previous ski/snowboard instruction experience preferred.</li>
<li>PSIA/AASI/USSA certification preferred.</li>

Job DescriptionDescriptionThe role of the Fitness Center Concierge is to serve as a key team member supporting the member experience by providing exemplary customer service to members and staff. The concierge, reporting to the Healthy Living Director, is an integral team member who maintains the safety and cleanliness of the fitness facilities. Specializing in fitness is not required as the focus is on cleanliness and member experience.&nbsp; Key Responsibilities

<li>Understand and demonstrate all policies and expectations of branch fitness facilities.</li>
<li>Welcome members, guiding them to appropriate equipment and sharing expectations with members regarding equipment usage, physical distancing, masks, and cleaning.</li>
<li>Ensure adequate cleaning products are placed in fitness facilities.</li>
<li>Clean high touch areas and all other equipment between sessions.</li>
<li>Monitor room capacity, member traffic flow, and physical distancing, communicating appropriately when there are any concerns.</li>
<li>Provide notification to members when appropriately 10 minutes remain in a member's session.</li>
<li>Activate the branch Emergency Response Plan as needed in response to medical or other emergencies and inform branch leadership as needed.</li>
<li>Communicate and elevate member and staff concerns, safety infractions, and facility issues at the end of each shift to the Leader on Duty.</li>
<li>Able to work opening, closing, and weekend shifts on a flexible schedule.&nbsp;</li>

Job Description
Worcester Academy, a day-boarding school with grades 6 thru PG, seeks a Strength and Conditioning coach to serve our community in the newly-opened Capozzoli Athletic Center. The Coach will oversee usage of Tribble Fitness center for all sports and our entire community. The strength and conditioning coach will craft training programs for our athletic teams and will support safe conditioning activity in order to improve fitness, reduce injuries and create a lifelong appreciation for health and fitness. This part-time position will be approximately 25 hours/week (in afternoons and evenings) and is an academic year (10 month) position.
This position reports to the Athletic Director.
Roles and Responsibilities
General
<ul>
<li>Supervise the Tribble Fitness Center during open hours of operation</li>
<li>Be knowledgeable about all equipment used in the Fitness Center</li>
<li>Develop and conduct strength and curriculum for athletic teams</li>
<li>Partner with coaches to provide pre and post season evaluation of team progress</li>
<li>Support all Worcester Academy community members in the safe usage of equipment; conduct training sessions for individuals new to the center</li>
<li>Conduct annual risk management review</li>
<li>Support the school in planning and implementing policies and guidelines for the strength and conditioning program</li>
<li>Assist in providing proposals for routine maintenance, equipment purchases, and staffing and facility needs</li>
<li>Serve as a professional development resource for coaches</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>

 
Education/Licenses
<ul>
<li> Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field</li>
<li> NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist</li>
<li> Up-to-date First Aid, CPR, AED certifications</li>

Experience
