This is an exciting time in the history of the Middlebury College Museum of Art, as we look forward to opening a new, 35,000 sq. ft. museum at the center of campus. The museum is being designed by the architectural firm Allied Works and scheduled to open in 2029. In partnership with colleagues in and beyond the museum, the new director will shape the installation plan for the permanent galleries, craft a visionary roadmap for special exhibitions and programming, and establish the museum as a center for vibrant dialogue about the arts, democracy, and the common good. 
The Director provides strategic, curatorial, and administrative leadership for the College’s art museum. The Director ensures the museum fulfills its mission as a teaching museum central to the liberal arts curriculum while serving as a regional and national leader in the arts. The Director is responsible for managing the collection, securing funds through grants and donor relations, fiscal management, and integrating the museum into the intellectual and cultural life of the College.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible, salaried position with a hiring range of $127,000 - $162,000 per year.

Expertise and Functions 
<ul>
<li>Provide support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Electronic Systems Directorate, Aerospace Management Systems Division (AFLCMC/ESA) to develop, deliver, and sustain air traffic management, CNS/ATM avionics expertise, and weather sensing and forecasting capabilities in support of military, civil, allied, and foreign military sales customers</li>
<li>Support the Fixed Base Weather Systems (FBWS) program and provide comprehensive acquisition program management, reporting, contractor coordination, and project execution support</li>
<li>Provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle</li>

<li>Acquisition Planning Baselines (APBs) – Establishing and maintaining a detailed baseline for acquisition activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints</li>
<li>Notice To The Field (NTTF) – Develop and distribute timely communications to USAF and Army airfields, disseminating urgent and critical information related to FBWS operations and maintenance</li>

<li>Ensure all reporting accurately reflects key program performance indicators, including:</li>

<li>Achievement of key milestones and deliverables</li>
<li>Progress against scheduled activities for the upcoming quarter</li>
<li>Detailed schedule planning, incorporating critical dependencies and timelines</li>
<li>Monitoring of granular progress, identifying and tracking key "inch-stones" to ensure overall program momentum</li>

<li>Continuously monitor project activities to ensure strict adherence to contract terms and conditions</li>
<li>Proactively identify, assess, and escalate potential breaches or risks to contract compliance, enabling timely mitigation and minimizing potential impact to the program</li>
<li>Implement a robust suspense management system to track, prioritize, and manage all outstanding action items and deadlines, ensuring timely resolution and preventing potential delays</li>
<li>Serve as the primary liaison and point of contact for system contractor, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration</li>
<li>Provide timely and accurate responses to contractor inquiries, ensuring they have access to the most up-to-date information and resources necessary to fulfill their contractual obligations</li>
<li>Facilitate the administrative processes related to contractor personnel, including Common Access Card (CAC) form completion and reverification (every six months), ensuring compliance with security requirements</li>
<li>Manage data sharing processes with the contractor, enforcing strict adherence to established security protocols and data governance policies to protect sensitive information</li>
<li>Assume accountability for the successful execution of assigned FBWS projects, from initiation to closeout</li>
<li>Demonstrate expertise in managing projects such as:</li>

<li>Mass Labeling Project – Streamlining and improving labeling processes across the FBWS infrastructure</li>
<li>Technical Order (TO) Consolidation Project – Reducing redundancy and improving efficiency in documentation by consolidating TOs</li>
<li>Publication of TO Consolidation – Ensuring seamless dissemination of consolidated TOs to relevant stakeholders</li>

<li>Provide critical program support by identifying, locating, and providing relevant documentation to stakeholders</li>
<li>Assist in the preparation, review, and editing of program-related documents, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to established standards</li>
<li>Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to identify challenges, develop effective solutions, and contribute to process improvements across the FBWS program</li>

Requirements
Education/Training:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required</li>

Experience:

<li>3+ years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, three of which must be in the DoD</li>
