The Middlebury School of Hebrew (SoH) is now accepting applications for Hebrew instructors for summer 2026 courses which will be taught in person on the Middlebury College campus in Vermont. 
We have a limited number of openings for new faculty members who have extensive experience teaching both Modern and Biblical Hebrew language and culture. Our programs take place in an immersive linguistic and cultural environment with rigorous daily classroom instruction. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly motivated community that is actively engaged in the teaching and learning of Hebrew, both inside and outside of class, 24/7. In addition to the salary, lodging and a complete meal plan will be provided. We will reach out to applicants chosen for interviews starting November 1st, 2025. 
Please note that all 7 and 3-week program instructors are required to arrive on campus by 4:00 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026 and to teach for the entire duration of their program.

Minimum Requirements

<li>Two years of clerical, secretarial or data entry experience; preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in a legal setting working as a paralegal/ legal assistant with mastery of office technology. </li>

Summary of Duties
<ul>
<li>Specialized clerical and administrative work with heavy data entry and case processing.</li>
<li>Performs case-flow functions across the full case-cycle including docket entry, entering new electronic and paper filings, sending notice, reviewing case documents for accuracy/completeness, preparing orders &amp; motions, scheduling events on court calendar.</li>
<li>Responsible for operating various tools to support both in-person and virtual court hearings.</li>
<li>Perform operator function during court hearings by providing high-speed docket entry and real-time processing in medium and high-volume settings.</li>
<li>Employ attention to detail and methodical approach to ensure standardized business practices are followed.</li>
<li>Respond to customer inquiries to assist with filling-out forms, using court kiosks, preparing for court appearances, and providing case information. </li>
<li>Maintain excellent customer interaction by providing prompt information and assistance.</li>
<li>Collect fines and fees according to established procedure; close, balance and reconcile tills.</li>
<li>Maintain working knowledge and adherence to court rules and statutes.</li>
</ul>
Scheduled hours of work generally conform to public court hours, but assignments may extend beyond those hours. Occasional travel to other courts within the State of Vermont may be required. Travel will be reimbursed according to State policies. This position will be eligible for longevity increases in accordance with the State step pay plan and annual cost of living increases as enacted by the Vermont State Legislature. Job Code # 25055
