Overview
Are you a night owl who works best independently? Our third-shift Sales Associates (typically between 10 PM and 6 AM) are responsible for keeping the store running smoothly overnight — often as the only employee on site.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident, self-motivated, and comfortable working alone for extended periods. You’ll be trusted to handle everything from deep cleaning restrooms and taking out trash, to stocking shelves and maintaining the fuel area. You'll also be responsible for assisting any late-night customers and ensuring the store stays secure, clean, and ready for the next day.
If you’re dependable, detail-oriented, and prefer a quieter, more independent work environment — this shift is for you. Being able to stay alert, make sound decisions, and manage responsibilities without direct supervision is essential for success in this role.

What You'll Do

Position Summary:
As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role as an assistant to our physicians. You will be cross trained to perform a range of administrative and clinical duties. These duties include preparing the patient to see the physician, preparing examination rooms, performing basic and routine vision screening examinations, administering eye medications, cleaning, and maintaining ophthalmic instruments and assisting physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures.
Job Duties &amp; Essential Functions:
Patient Interaction &amp; Clinical Intake

<li>Initiate patient evaluations by accurately documenting the chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, and all pertinent information.</li>
<li>Coordinate and obtain prior authorizations for medications in accordance with insurance requirements to ensure timely patient access to prescribed treatments.</li>

Pre-Exam &amp; Diagnostic Testing

<li>Perform pre-exam testing, including visual acuity assessment (with pinhole and glare testing), confrontational visual fields, extraocular muscle testing, pupillary evaluation, tonometry, angle assessment, and dilation.</li>
<li>Conduct advanced diagnostic testing such as OCT, fundus photography, IOL Master, Pentacam, A-scan, B-scan, Wave Scan/Vario, keratometry, lensometry, and visual field testing.</li>
<li>Perform specialized testing as requested, including color vision screening, stereopsis, dry eye testing, optical biometry, and refractometry.</li>

Procedure &amp; Treatment Support

<li>Assist with in-office minor surgical procedures and laser treatments.</li>
<li>Complete prescription refill requests as authorized by the physician, ensuring proper documentation in the patient chart.</li>
<li>Track, document, and communicate laboratory results to physicians and patients promptly, ensuring accuracy and continuity of care.</li>
<li>Educate patients on the use of medications and provide pre- and post-operative instructions as directed by the physician.</li>
<li>Assist with contact lens fittings and provide patient instruction on insertion, removal, and lens care.</li>
</ul>
Equipment &amp; Inventory Management

<li>Maintain and manage inventory of ophthalmic supplies, pharmaceuticals, and instruments.</li>
<li>Inspect and assist with the maintenance of clinical examination equipment, report damage, coordinate repairs, and request replacements as necessary.</li>
<li>Assist with cleaning surgical instruments in preparation for sterilization.</li>
<li>Properly shut down and clean diagnostic testing equipment as needed.</li>
<li>Check and record medical refrigerator temperatures daily; monitor supply dates and manage inventory accordingly.</li>

Clinic Readiness &amp; Administrative Support

<li>Open and close exam rooms daily, including cleaning equipment, charging devices, and securing instruments.</li>
<li>Assist with opening and closing the clinic as needed.</li>
<li>Follow all safety protocols and clinic procedures.</li>
<li>Monitor and respond to work emails; utilize shared tools such as Google Drive to stay informed throughout the workday.</li>

Required Qualifications:
