Key Responsibilities
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be crucial to the operational readiness and safety of our equipment fleet. Your daily responsibilities include:

Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on our fleet of equipment, including chippers, stump grinders, bucket trucks, cranes, chainsaws, and other vehicles.
</li>
<li>
Performing routine preventative maintenance on all equipment to minimize downtime and ensure peak performance.
</li>
<li>
Conducting thorough safety inspections and reporting any deficiencies to the shop manager.
</li>
<li>
Driving a company vehicle to various job sites to perform on-site equipment repairs as needed.
</li>
<li>
Maintaining detailed and accurate service records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
</li>
<li>
Managing parts inventory, ordering new parts, and tracking usage.
</li>
<li>
Welding, fabricating, and rebuilding components as necessary to keep equipment in service.
</li>
<li>
Safely operating all equipment to test and verify the success of repairs.
</li>
</ul>
What We're Looking For
<ul>

Proven experience as a mechanic, with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment and diesel engines.
</li>
<li>
In-depth knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
</li>
<li>
The ability to effectively diagnose complex mechanical issues and implement lasting repair solutions.
</li>
<li>
The ability to lift heavy parts and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.
</li>
<li>
Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, welding, hydraulics) are highly desirable.
</li>
<li>
A valid driver's license is required to operate a company vehicle and travel to job sites.
</li>
<li>
Strong communication skills and a "can-do" attitude that demonstrates accountability and professionalism.
