At-Sea Monitors record detailed information on the gear and fishing activity of the vessels. Monitors work on deck on vessels ranging from 20 to 100 on trips roughly ranging from 1 to 14 days collecting data on fish catch and discard and incidental takes such as marine mammals, seabirds, and marine turtles. After attending a 3-week paid training in-person training inFalmouth, MAmonitors are deployed from ports throughout New England and Mid-Atlantic states. Gear types assessed include, trawl, gillnet, longline and handline.
 
Accommodations and meal reimbursement during in person session of training are provided.Training includes instructions on sampling protocols, gear, fisheries, fish identification, marine mammal/sea turtle identification, and safety.
 
This is a challenging job, and candidates must be mentally prepared to be away from home for multiple days, and must be physically able to handle heavy lifting, working odd hours, and long days in rough seas. Observing provides an excellent career in marine biology, as observers and monitors are widely recognized as being excellent field biologists. A broad range of advancement opportunities are available to those who demonstrate appropriate capabilities. Those opportunities include, but are not limited to, project management, field supervisors, and fieldwork in other programs.

<ul>
<li>Primarily responsible for supporting the Senior Project Superintendents managing the field construction team and all operations on site. This role delegates tasks, enforces standard operating procedures, resolves conflicts, and maintains site safety and OSHA compliance. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Creates and manages documentation using Procore for records, subcontractor scheduling and a daily log of activities. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Performs quality control supervision (including identifying non-compliance), coordinates inspections and communicates with project team regarding ASIs, RFIs and material submittals as directed by senior Project Superintendent. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Attends weekly subcontractor meetings to coordinate work, communicates with project team, performs job progress, punch list identification and completion. </li>
</ul>

Required Education and Experience
 
<ul>
<li> Current Massachusetts Contractors Supervisor License.</li>
<li>2+ years on-site construction experience.</li>
<li> Proficiency in reading and interpreting project drawings.</li>
<li> OSHA 10-Hour certified.</li>
</ul>

Preferred Education and Experience

<ul>
<li>5+ years of experience in construction management for building construction.</li>
<li> Ground-up and tenant improvement project experience.</li>
<li>Knowledge of principles of project management for building, engineering and architecture related to design and construction.</li>
<li> Ability to use engineering instruments effectively.</li>
<li> Proficiency with Excel, MS Project and Procore.</li>
<li> First Aid/AED/CPR certified.</li>
<li> NFPA Hot Work Safety certified.</li>
<li>OSHA 30-Hour certified.</li>

The Role As an HVAC Service Technician at RCL Mechanical, youll work closely with our dispatch team and service manager to deliver top-notch service from the first knock on the door to the final handshake. Youll have the independence to run your calls while knowing youve got a whole team backing you up.
