The Technician is responsible for fixing a vehicle after it’s been damaged. You will perform quality structural, body, frame, and unibody repairs.  Assisting the estimator with accurate estimates and minimizing the need for supplements.  Understanding the repair vs replacement process is important in the position.

Job Requirements:

5 plus years of auto-body collision experience preferred

Follow the company blueprinting process and disassembly procedures (DFR) for all vehicle inspections

Disassemble vehicles after the initial estimate, inspect all vehicles for internal structure and parts from the initial inspection (estimate), and identify additional damage 
Complete disassembly of the vehicle to assist estimators in assessing damage to prepare a 100% repair plan 
Document and record additional damage and required parts on a damage report (including blend panels, small parts, on-time use fasteners, moldings, etc.). 
Notify the production manager/estimator regarding supplements based on additional damage/parts discovered 
Assist the metal technician with reassembly upon completion of the repair, as needed 
Perform light non-structural repairs – light finishing, sanding, minor bumper repairs, etc. 
Reassemble vehicle – replace final moldings, trim, and detail pieces 
Perform assigned duties safely and responsibly that does not expose yourself or other employees to unnecessary risk of injury

Diesel Mechanic Requirements
<ul>
<li>At least 1 year of hands-on mechanic experience and on-the-job technician training in a related mechanical field graduate of vocational courses or equivalent diesel mechanic experience and training</li>
<li>Diesel mechanic with experience in a truck dealership is preferred, but not required</li>
<li>A/C and brake experience</li>
<li>CAT engine experience preferred, but not required</li>
<li>MX engine experience preferred</li>
<li>Cummins engine experience preferred</li>
<li>Electrical experience</li>
<li>Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities</li>

Start Date: August 2025 - June 30, 2026 Position Type: Stipend 
Hours: 3:00 - 5:00 PM (Monday &amp; Wednesday)
Position Overview
Codman Academy Charter Public School is seeking a dedicated and creative Encore Media Club Advisor to mentor students in exploring media, journalism, and creative communication. The advisor will guide students in developing projects such as school news updates, digital storytelling, and media analysis that reflect Codman’s culture and student voice. This position requires strong organizational skills, experience in media production or communications, and a commitment to fostering student leadership, collaboration, and creativity.
Key ResponsibilitiesMedia Production &amp; Student Development
<ul>

Guide students in planning, creating, and publishing media projects (newsletters, digital stories, or media critiques).
</li>
<li>
Teach and mentor students in journalism, interviewing, writing, and multimedia communication.
</li>
<li>
Support students in developing content that highlights Codman’s community, values, and student experiences.
</li>
<li>
Ensure all content meets ethical, editorial, and school standards. 
</li>
</ul>
Administrative &amp; Project Management
<ul>
<li>
Establish a production calendar with deadlines for project development and publication.
</li>
<li>
Manage logistics for sharing student work across school platforms (bulletins, website, social media, etc.).
</li>
<li>
Collaborate with staff and administration to ensure broad coverage of school events and stories.
</li>
<li>
Facilitate communication between students, faculty, and administration to amplify student voice. 
</li>
</ul>
Equipment &amp; Technology
<ul>
<li>
Provide guidance on media tools (cameras, audio recorders, design software) as available.
</li>
<li>
Support students in safe, responsible, and ethical media creation.
</li>
<li>
Manage media-related files, archives, and resources.
</li>
</ul>
 
Qualifications
Required
<ul>
<li>
Experience in journalism, communications, media production, or related field.
</li>
<li>
Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
</li>
<li>
Ability to meet deadlines and manage student projects.
</li>
<li>
Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
</li>
</ul>
Preferred
<ul>
<li>
Previous experience advising student media or creative clubs.
</li>
<li>
Proficiency with media tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or basic audio/video editing software).
</li>
<li>
Photography, storytelling, or digital publishing experience.
</li>
